MYSORE: Nine pilgrims, including three children, died on the spot and six were critically injured after their tempo collided with a truck carrying LPG cylinders in Periyapatna on Wednesday. The victims were among 20 pilgrims returning to Dakshina Kannada after visiting a holy shrine in Tamil Nadu. The grievously injured are being treated at different hospitals in Mysore. The condition of five others is stable. The dead included the tempo driver.
